I upgraded my CPU from a Ryzen 5 5600 to a Ryzen 7 5700X while continuing to use my Radeon RX 5700 XT Red Devil. Valorant runs at around 200–300 FPS, but during gunfights or when several abilities are used, the display freezes and the GPU driver appears to crash. I can still hear the game and background audio, so the system itself may still be running. I've already used DDU and tried both newer and older graphics driver versions. What else should I check to figure out whether this is a CPU, RAM, GPU, or driver problem?

Run a stability test such as Prime95 in Blend mode. If the test crashes, freezes, or reports errors, the CPU or memory may be unstable after the upgrade, so check BIOS settings, memory overclocking, and temperatures. If the system passes a long test but Valorant still causes display-driver crashes, that points more toward the graphics card, its power delivery, or the GPU driver rather than the CPU.
Try disabling Fast Startup in Windows, then run DDU again and reinstall the graphics driver cleanly. Fast Startup can sometimes preserve problematic driver states between boots. If you meant a setting inside the Radeon software, check that too, but start with Windows Fast Startup.
