It has been about 15 years since I put a computer together, so I'd appreciate a quick review of the parts list and any advice about changes or additional items I might need. Should I connect the monitor with HDMI or DisplayPort? I'd also like recommendations for a dependable keyboard and mouse, along with any tips for assembling the system.

For the memory, just choose a reasonably priced compatible kit; X3D processors generally aren’t very sensitive to small differences in memory speed. Check whether your CPU cooler includes thermal paste. Many coolers come with paste pre-applied or include a small tube, so you probably won’t need to buy extra unless the cooler does not provide any. A basic wired keyboard and mouse from a reputable brand are usually a safer choice than spending heavily on flashy gaming models.
The main parts look suitable for the build. If you’re choosing DDR5 memory, a 6000 MT/s CL30 kit is often the sweet spot, although the real-world difference from slightly slower or looser memory will be pretty small. For the monitor connection, use DisplayPort if your monitor supports it, especially if you want a higher refresh rate or adaptive sync. Velcro cable ties are also handy for keeping the wiring tidy.
