I'm trying to create an AWS account to deploy a student project, but the signup process says my information is already associated with another account. I tried using different people's email addresses, phone numbers, and identification details, and I believe none of them have previously had AWS accounts. What is the proper way to resolve this? I also wondered whether there are legitimate student credits or promotional programs that could help cover the deployment costs.

Using other people’s identity details or creating several accounts can trigger AWS verification and account-association checks, even if those individuals have never knowingly opened an account. It’s best to stop trying additional combinations and contact AWS support through the official account and billing support channels. Explain that you’re a student, provide the details for the one account you intend to keep, and ask them to investigate the association or verification error. Also check your support case for updates, since responses can take longer than a few minutes.
For student credits, look for official AWS education programs, school-sponsored cloud credits, or recognized student initiatives. Avoid unofficial promo codes or offers that ask you to use someone else’s account. Once your account issue is resolved, set up billing alerts and use the Free Tier carefully so unexpected charges don’t accumulate.

I already opened a support case, but it has been waiting for an associate for about 15 minutes. I’ll wait for their response and provide the requested verification details instead of attempting another signup.
