Best GPU upgrade under €600 for a future 1440p OLED setup?

A used RX 9070 XT around €600–€700 would be my preferred option if you can find a reliable listing. It gives you a much more substantial upgrade for 1440p gaming and should remain capable for longer than the 6950 XT. A used RTX 4070 Ti is also worth considering if you care about ray tracing and upscaling features.

The 3060 Ti is still perfectly usable at 1080p, so the 6950 XT may not feel like a dramatic enough upgrade for €580. Depending on the game, you might see around 30–40% more performance, which is noticeable but not necessarily great value. I’d wait until you can make a larger jump rather than upgrading immediately.

I’d probably skip the €580 RX 6950 XT. It’s still fast, but paying that much for an older card is hard to justify when newer cards offer better ray tracing, upscaling, efficiency, and warranty coverage. If possible, save a little more for a new RX 9070, which starts around €630 in some European stores and is roughly 20% faster in regular rendering while being much better in ray-traced games and upscaling.

There are several better targets in this budget. New RX 9070 GRE cards can be found around €500–€540, while an RX 9070 is close to €600. On the used market, look for an RX 7800 XT around €400–€450, an RX 7900 GRE around €450–€500, or an RX 7900 XT around €500–€550. These should be much better suited to a future 1440p display than the 3060 Ti.
