Yes, a 3090 can output 5K2K at 240 Hz for normal desktop use, but the monitor and connection need to support DSC. DisplayPort 1.4 by itself doesn’t have enough bandwidth for that uncompressed signal, while Display Stream Compression allows it to work. HDMI 2.1 may also support the mode, depending on the monitor.
