I upgraded my PC's power supply and accidentally used the power cord from the old PSU for the first boot before swapping it. I also move the computer between my desk and TV setup for different games, so I'd like to leave a compatible power cord at each location. Is it safe to keep reusing the old wall-to-PSU cable, assuming it isn't damaged?

Yes. The detachable cable that runs from the wall outlet to the PSU uses a standardized connector, so you can keep one cable at each setup. Just make sure it’s undamaged and rated appropriately for the PSU’s power requirements.
The important distinction is that this only applies to the wall-to-PSU cord. Don’t reuse the modular cables inside the PC unless the PSU manufacturer explicitly confirms compatibility and pinouts. Cables can fit while being wired differently, which could damage your components.
That’s fine for the external wall cable. Higher-wattage systems may require a thicker, properly rated cable, so don’t use a visibly thin or questionable one with a powerful PSU.
Some PSU models from the same brand do share compatible cables, but it’s best to verify with the manufacturer’s compatibility chart instead of assuming that matching connectors mean they’re safe.
