I'm not very familiar with technology and recently bought an Acer Chromebook because it was more affordable than another Windows laptop. I'm trying to move my files and Microsoft-related information from my old HP laptop, but I'm having trouble signing in and keep seeing a message that the Chromebook's storage is full, even though I just bought it. Is there a way to transfer everything, or did I buy a device that can't do what I need?

Think of the Chromebook more like a phone or tablet than a Windows laptop. You can use web versions of services such as Microsoft 365 and store files online, but you can’t transfer the entire Windows system or install software that only works on Windows. If you need your old Windows programs, returning the Chromebook and getting an affordable Windows laptop may be the better option.
