Can my university access Copilot chats I deleted?

There’s a difference between seeing that you used Copilot and seeing the actual text. Many organizations can access sign-in, usage, and security logs without automatically being able to read deleted chats. Whether the prompts and responses are recoverable depends on the provider’s retention settings, the university’s configuration, and any legal or security investigation.
