I'm building my first gaming PC from scratch in Germany and need every component, since my current system is outdated and was damaged by a storm surge. The main goal is smooth, reliable 1440p gaming at High settings for demanding games such as Cyberpunk 2077, Hogwarts Legacy, ARK, Monster Hunter, Resident Evil, Call of Duty, and Neverness to Everness. I'm not interested in 4K or Ultra settings, but I would like a system that remains capable for the next few years.
I strongly prefer an all-AMD build with an AM5 processor and Radeon graphics card. I also want traditional air cooling only—no liquid coolers or AIOs. The build should include exactly 32GB of RAM, one 2TB high-speed NVMe SSD, a quality power supply with strong protection features, and a 27-inch 1440p IPS monitor around 165–180Hz. Parts will be purchased from German retailers such as Mindfactory, Amazon, notebooksbilliger, or Alternate. What components would you recommend for this budget?

If the higher-end Radeon card pushes the total over budget, stepping down to an RX 9060 XT is a reasonable compromise for High settings at 1440p, especially with upscaling when a demanding game needs it. Avoid cutting the memory below 32GB just to fit the budget, since modern open-world games and background applications can make 16GB feel restrictive. Prices change frequently, so checking several German retailers and waiting for a sale may matter more than choosing between two similar motherboard or SSD models.
A sensible AM5 setup would be a Ryzen 7 7800X3D or a newer equivalent if the price difference is reasonable, a B650 or B850 motherboard, 32GB of DDR5-6000 memory, and a 2TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe drive. You do not need liquid cooling for this: a quality dual-tower air cooler is enough. Add a well-reviewed 750W or 850W Gold-rated power supply from a reputable manufacturer, preferably with modern protections and a good warranty. For the monitor, look for a 27-inch 1440p IPS model with Adaptive Sync around 165Hz or 180Hz.

At €1,500, the original target would have been extremely tight once you include 32GB of DDR5, a 2TB SSD, a modern Radeon card, and the monitor. Raising the budget to about €2,000 makes a new AM5 system much more realistic. I’d prioritize the graphics card, since it has the biggest impact at 1440p, and pair it with a Ryzen 7 gaming CPU, 32GB DDR5, and a good tower cooler. An RX 9070 or RX 9070 XT would be a strong choice if pricing in Germany is reasonable; an RX 9060 XT could also work if you want to leave more room for the monitor and other parts.
