I've been saving for my first custom PC and put together a parts list totaling about $2,000. I'd appreciate feedback on compatibility, potential bottlenecks, and whether any components should be replaced or upgraded. I'm especially interested in making sure the CPU, motherboard, memory, graphics card, cooling, case, storage, power supply, and fans all work well together. The current build includes an Intel Ultra 5 250KF Plus, ASUS PRIME B860-PLUS WIFI-CSM motherboard, Radeon RX 9070 XT, 32GB of DDR5-6400 memory, a 360mm Arctic liquid cooler, a 1TB Kingston NVMe SSD, an 850W Corsair power supply, and a Lian Li O11 Mini V2 case.

I’d seriously consider switching to an AMD platform for this build. You can get a stronger gaming-focused CPU, and the upgrade path is generally better, so you may be able to keep the motherboard when upgrading several years from now. It could be worth spending a little more upfront if that means avoiding another motherboard replacement later.
That AMD setup looks pretty similar to mine. Would you recommend changing to a different compatible motherboard so I could use it?
