I understand the basic specifications, but I'd appreciate an honest review of anything that could be improved, including potential compatibility, reliability, or value issues. I'm trying not to increase the budget, so please focus on changes that are genuinely worthwhile before I place the order.

I’d spend a little extra on an SSD using TLC NAND rather than choosing a cheaper drive with lower-end flash. A drive such as the 2TB WD Black SN7100 would be a worthwhile upgrade for better endurance and more consistent performance.
The build looks solid and cost-effective overall. It isn’t flashy, but the performance should be good. Keeping 32GB of RAM and a 2TB SSD is sensible if you expect prices for memory and storage to rise later.
I was also considering a cheaper build around £1,200 with 16GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD, but I’m still undecided.
Consider upgrading the power supply to the Montech Century II if the price difference is small. It’s a better-quality unit, and its fan is less likely to become annoying or behave unpredictably under load.
