I recently jailbroke my iPhone 4S and installed several tweaks. After restarting the phone, Cydia and the apps associated with those tweaks immediately crash when I try to open them. Re-running the jailbreak process normally fixes the problem, but today that no longer worked. Could this be caused by incorrect file or folder permissions, and how can I repair the jailbreak without losing everything?

This is often caused by a jailbreak file or folder having incorrect permissions, especially after installing a problematic tweak. If the jailbreak is semi-tethered or tethered, make sure you boot the phone through the jailbreak tool after every restart; otherwise Cydia and jailbreak-dependent apps may crash. If that does not help, remove the most recently installed tweak from the jailbreak tool or restore and rejailbreak the device rather than changing permissions blindly.
