I've been troubleshooting an intermittent DisplayPort problem for nearly two months. My setup includes an RTX 4060, an LG UltraGear 24GS60F-B, and fully updated Windows and graphics drivers. DisplayPort works normally for a while, then the monitor suddenly reports "No Signal." Unplugging and reconnecting the cable or restarting the computer sometimes restores the image. HDMI works consistently, but it doesn't provide G-SYNC Compatible at 180Hz with this setup, so I'd prefer to get DisplayPort working again. I've tested two cables, including a VESA-certified one, and the issue still occurs. The monitor's power-saving and Deep Sleep options are disabled, DP mode is set to 1.4 and DP-only, and the problem began recently after using the original monitor cable for about a year. Could the cause be the GPU, monitor, DisplayPort port, firmware, BIOS, or another setting?

Since you’ve already tested a certified cable and disabled the monitor’s sleep features, the next useful step is isolating which side is failing. Try the other DisplayPort output on the RTX 4060, if available, and test the monitor with another computer or GPU. Also check for a monitor firmware update and try a full monitor reset. If the problem follows the monitor, its DisplayPort input may be failing; if it only happens with this GPU, the graphics card port or driver configuration becomes more likely. As a temporary test, you could also force a lower refresh rate or DP 1.2 mode to see whether the link remains stable.

I’ve already confirmed that power saving and Deep Sleep are disabled, and the monitor is set to DP 1.4 with DP-only selected. I’ll test the other GPU port and try a lower refresh rate or another system to narrow down whether the monitor or graphics card is at fault.
