I'm currently using an Asus Prime B550M-K with a Ryzen 5 5600G, 64GB of 3200MHz DDR4 memory, an RTX 4070 Super, and an 850W Corsair Gold-rated power supply. I'm considering upgrading the CPU to a Ryzen 7 5800XT and was wondering whether I also need to replace the motherboard with an ASUS ROG Strix B550-F Gaming WiFi II. Would the new board provide any meaningful benefit, or would upgrading it be unnecessary?

Your current motherboard is sufficient, so replacing it would be a waste of money for this CPU upgrade. Update the BIOS to the latest version before installing the 5800XT, and verify that the processor is supported by that BIOS.
If you’re staying on AM4, consider an X3D processor instead. A 5700X3D or 5800X3D would generally be a more worthwhile gaming upgrade than the 5800XT, especially with an RTX 4070 Super. You can put the money saved on the motherboard toward the CPU.
The new board would only make sense if you specifically need features such as built-in Wi-Fi, faster Ethernet, or additional expansion slots. It won’t give the 5800XT extra performance by itself, and the Prime B550M-K should run the processor fine with an appropriate BIOS and cooling.
Make sure you update the BIOS while the 5600G is still installed, since some boards require a compatible CPU in order to flash the firmware. Your Deepcool AK620 Digital Pro cooler is more than adequate for the upgrade.
The 5600G to 5800XT jump may not be large enough to justify spending heavily on the same AM4 platform. Another sensible option is to keep the current system for now, move to an X3D chip, or wait and upgrade the CPU, motherboard, and memory together on a newer platform.
