Do I need an additional cellular plan for an Apple Watch?

I'm planning to buy an Apple Watch Series 12 with cellular connectivity. My iPhone Air already uses an eSIM, and I'm wondering whether the watch can share that existing mobile plan or whether I need to add a separate wearable plan through my carrier, Spintel. How does cellular service for the watch usually work?

If you want the watch to connect to cellular networks when your iPhone isn’t nearby, it generally needs its own line or wearable add-on. The exact setup depends on your carrier; some providers let it share your phone number, while others assign a separate number.

This is entirely carrier-specific. Ask your provider whether Apple Watch cellular is supported, whether it costs extra, and whether the watch shares your iPhone number or receives its own.
