Do PCIe Wi‑Fi cards with Bluetooth need any extra connections?

I'm looking for an affordable PCIe Wi‑Fi card that also includes Bluetooth, with a budget of about €30–40. My motherboard is an OptimX H410, and it has an available PCIe slot. Are these cards generally universal and plug-and-play, or do I need to connect anything else besides installing the card?

The Wi‑Fi portion usually works through the PCIe slot, but Bluetooth commonly needs an additional cable connected from the card to an internal USB 2.0 header on the motherboard. Check whether your board has a free USB header, similar to the ones used for front-panel USB ports. You’ll also need to attach the included external antennas and may need to install drivers.

Most PCIe Wi‑Fi and Bluetooth cards are broadly compatible, but make sure the card fits a standard PCIe slot and that your motherboard has a free internal USB header for Bluetooth. The term LGA1200 describes the CPU socket, not the exact motherboard model, so confirm the board’s full model name and check its manual for available slots and USB headers. An H410 board should generally support a standard PCIe adapter, and a €30–40 card should be enough for basic Wi‑Fi and Bluetooth.

It doesn’t have built-in Wi‑Fi or Bluetooth, so I’m currently using a cheap USB Wi‑Fi adapter while I figure out what to buy. This is my first PC, and the full motherboard model appears to be OptimX H410.
