Doogee U11 Pro Went Black After Only a Few Hours—What Should I Try?

My dad received a new Doogee U11 Pro yesterday. It powered on and worked normally during the initial setup and testing, but after roughly three hours the screen suddenly went black and has not responded since. We tried looking up soft- and hard-reset instructions, but nothing seems to bring it back. There is no clear response from the tablet, and I'm unsure whether it was fully charged before it was used. What troubleshooting steps should we try before returning it or contacting the seller?

Start by connecting it to a known-good charger and cable, then leave it charging for at least 30 minutes. Check whether any charging light, vibration, or screen activity appears. After that, try the power button along with the volume buttons, since many tablets use a button combination for a forced restart. If there is still no response, contact the seller or manufacturer rather than opening it up.

I’m not sure whether it was charged when it arrived or whether he started using it immediately, so I’ll try leaving it connected for a while first.

Since it was purchased recently and failed on the first day, the simplest option is probably to return or exchange it through the retailer. They can usually replace a dead-on-arrival device more quickly than troubleshooting a suspected battery, charging-port, or hardware failure.

Try a different compatible charging cable and power adapter, and inspect the port for a loose connection. If it shows absolutely no signs of life after charging and attempting a forced restart, treat it as defective and use the warranty or return window. Don’t rely too much on online reviews—an individual unit can still arrive faulty.
