I'm putting together an all-black micro-ATX PC primarily for 4K gaming on a Samsung TV. The planned parts are a Ryzen 7 9850X3D, MSI RTX 5080 Inspire 3X OC Black, ASUS TUF B850M-PLUS WiFi, 32GB Corsair Vengeance RGB RS DDR5-6000 CL36, Samsung 990 Pro 2TB, Corsair RM1000x 1000W ATX 3.1 power supply, ROG Strix LC III 360 ARGB LCD liquid cooler, and an ASUS Prime AP202 ARGB case.
Before ordering, are there any compatibility or airflow concerns? Would you replace any components, is DDR5-6000 CL36 a good match for the processor, and are the included case fans plus a 360mm AIO sufficient for cooling?

The build should work well together, and the 1000W ATX 3.1 PSU gives the RTX 5080 plenty of headroom. The 360mm AIO is more cooling than you realistically need for a gaming-focused system, though it should keep temperatures under control. The AP202 is also spacious enough that you shouldn’t need to downsize unless you specifically want a smaller enclosure.
The 990 Pro is a very fast SSD, but gaming load times generally won’t be noticeably better than with a cheaper quality PCIe 4.0 drive. You could save money by choosing a more affordable 2TB model and put the difference toward another component. The stock fans combined with the 360mm radiator should provide more than enough cooling, especially for normal gaming workloads.
A good airflow layout matters more than adding an even larger cooler. Make sure the radiator and case fans are arranged to provide clear intake and exhaust paths, and check the graphics card length and radiator clearance before ordering.
DDR5-6000 CL36 is perfectly usable with this processor. If the price difference is small, a lower-latency kit such as CL30 could be a nice upgrade, but CL36 shouldn’t cause a problem. The 32GB capacity is also fine for current gaming, with 64GB only being necessary for unusually heavy multitasking or demanding applications.
There don’t appear to be major compatibility concerns as long as the motherboard BIOS supports the processor and the case supports the selected radiator and graphics card dimensions. I’d still verify those measurements on the manufacturer pages. You could also compare the ASUS board with MSI’s comparable B850M models, since some may offer stronger power delivery or a layout you prefer. RGB is optional, and skipping it can reduce cable clutter and software hassles.
The processor is arguably overkill for 4K gaming because the GPU will usually be the limiting component. A less expensive X3D chip could provide nearly the same gaming experience, but there’s nothing wrong with keeping this one if the budget allows.
