I have a 2021 Dell Inspiron 3502, and the touchpad has started malfunctioning. It makes the cursor shake and move unpredictably across the screen. A guide told me to disable it through Bluetooth and device settings, but my system does not show a touchpad toggle. Is there another way to turn it off?

Try opening Device Manager, expanding “Mice and other pointing devices,” right-clicking the touchpad entry, and choosing “Disable device.” This should turn it off without affecting the rest of the laptop.
I checked there, but the menu only gives me the option to uninstall the device. Would uninstalling the touchpad driver cause problems?
