I'm preparing for an AWS AI certification through an online course, but I've been blocked for about three weeks trying to use Amazon Bedrock on my existing learning account. I've heard that newer accounts can use Bedrock automatically, while older accounts may need access enabled through AWS Support. Unfortunately, my support chats take several days to receive a response, and they often close the case after asking a follow-up question I never see in time. Opening additional tickets has not helped because they are closed as duplicates. I also tried creating a new account, but it was flagged as ineligible for the free tier. I still have credits on my original learning account. Is there another way to activate Bedrock or get effective support?

I’d avoid opening several separate cases. Ask Support to reopen or escalate the original case and explain that duplicate cases are being closed before you can respond. Put all the relevant details in the first message, including the fact that delayed replies are arriving after the case is automatically closed. Also check the support console and account email carefully, since the follow-up may not be appearing where you expect.
If you need a faster response from AWS Support, temporarily upgrading to a paid support plan with chat or phone access may be an option. It costs money, so I’d only consider it if the certification deadline makes the delay especially costly. Before contacting them, include the account ID, region, model you’re trying to use, exact error text, and the existing case numbers in one request.
AWS has introduced simplified Bedrock model access, so you may not need to submit a separate approval request anymore. Try opening the Bedrock console, going to the Playground, and starting a chat or making a model invocation. If access still fails, note the exact error message because that will help identify whether the issue is permissions, model availability, account eligibility, or regional support.

I’ve already opened several additional cases, but AWS keeps closing them as duplicates and directing me back to the original one. I’ll try requesting an escalation on that original case with all the technical details included.
