How can I escalate a Microsoft partner benefit redemption issue after months of unresolved support tickets?

We are a Microsoft AI Cloud Partner with Partner Success Expanded Benefits. After renewing in June 2026, we tried to redeem 35 Microsoft 365 Business Premium licenses without Teams through the newer billing-account-based redemption process introduced in Australia. I did not realize the tenant was selected during checkout, so the licenses were redeemed into our partner tenant instead of our staff tenant.

The first support engineer was unfamiliar with the new process and provided incorrect guidance. We were later told the proper fix was to keep the subscription active, associate the staff tenant as a billing tenant, and provision the licenses without cancelling the subscription. However, by the time we received that information, we had already cancelled the subscription based on the earlier advice. Because cancelled subscriptions cannot be reactivated, Microsoft now needs to issue a new redemption token.

We have opened five support tickets over almost three months. Several were closed because they were supposedly assigned to the wrong team, while another remains unresolved. During one ticket, a support engineer confirmed that a new token was required but said another team was responsible for issuing it. No team has taken ownership.

Our 35-seat benefit is still visible but disabled in the partner tenant, with no licenses assigned. Meanwhile, 23 employees are using a single-seat paid subscription, leaving us in a compliance-risk situation. Temporary trial subscriptions are also scheduled for deletion on September 4, 2026.

We need the 35-license Microsoft 365 Business Premium benefit token regenerated so it can be redeemed into the correct staff tenant. Has anyone successfully escalated a partner-benefit issue beyond first-line support, reached the appropriate partner licensing or membership team, or had a redemption token regenerated after an accidental cancellation?

Use several escalation paths at once. Open a ticket through the billing and licensing route, include every previous case number, and state plainly that Microsoft guidance caused the cancellation and that you need a replacement redemption token. Also check the Relationships section of your partner account for your Partner Development Manager or Partner Technology Strategist; they may be able to escalate internally to the benefits fulfilment team. If the case sits untouched for several days, use the manager-callback or formal escalation option, then contact your regional partner team rather than starting over with general support.

Thanks, this is exactly the kind of direction I needed. I have opened a case with the Membership/Enablement team and am contacting the partner-side contacts listed in our account. I will also describe it as incorrect Microsoft guidance leading to the cancellation, rather than just an accidental redemption.

Try to get a real person to own the case rather than accepting another closure and reroute. A senior contact in the partner program or your regional Microsoft partner organization may be more effective than repeatedly opening standard support requests. Keep the request narrowly focused: the benefit is visible but disabled, the subscription cannot be reactivated, and Microsoft needs to generate one replacement token so the licenses can be redeemed in the correct tenant.

The team to contact may not be the general benefits queue. Create a new service request in Partner Center and explicitly classify it as a Partner Center Enablement/Membership issue. Explain that the subscription was cancelled after incorrect guidance from Microsoft and that the required remedy is either token regeneration or the documented recovery process. Be very clear that this is a routing and service-recovery problem, not simply a redemption question.
