I recently received a Samsung Galaxy A73 from a family member and want to move everything from my OPPO A54 to it. The OPPO has 128 GB of storage, with about 108 GB currently used, while the Samsung has 256 GB available. I tried Samsung Smart Switch, but it says it can transfer around 60 GB. Is that a storage limit, or can I move the remaining photos, videos, music, documents, and other files another way? The Samsung has already been factory-reset through its settings.

Yes, you can use a computer as a second step. Connect the OPPO to the computer, choose file transfer mode, and copy folders such as DCIM, Pictures, Movies, Music, Download, and Documents. Then connect the Samsung and copy those folders onto it. This will handle personal files, but it won’t recreate installed apps, app logins, or private app data, so those should be restored through the Play Store or each app’s own backup system.
Before deleting anything from the OPPO, compare the files on both phones and open a few photos and videos to confirm they transferred correctly. Also check for hidden folders or files stored inside individual apps, since a normal USB copy may not include those. If the Smart Switch transfer keeps failing, copy the large media folders to a computer or USB drive first, finish the phone-to-phone transfer, and then copy the media to the A73 afterward.
Smart Switch usually doesn’t copy absolutely everything on the old phone. It transfers supported apps, contacts, messages, photos, videos, and some settings, but certain app data and miscellaneous files may need to be moved separately. The 60 GB figure may be an estimate of the data Smart Switch can recognize rather than a limit on the Samsung’s storage. Make sure the A73 is fully reset before starting, then transfer the supported content with Smart Switch.
So the files copied through a laptop would still work normally on the Samsung, even though the apps and their data might not transfer?
