When I try to open Google Chrome on my Windows 11 desktop, I get the message: "This app has been blocked by your system administrator." I didn't intentionally change any settings, and the computer belongs to me. What could cause this, and what are the safe ways to restore access to Chrome?

First, confirm that Windows or security software hasn’t flagged Chrome. Check Windows Security and any third-party antivirus quarantine or protection history, then run a malware scan. If Chrome was installed from an unofficial source, uninstall it and download a fresh installer from Google’s official website. You can also check whether a local policy or another administrator account is blocking the app, but avoid changing system policies or registry settings blindly—especially if the PC was previously managed by an organization.
