I recently created a basic Azure account through a student program, but my current access does not include the larger models I need. There is an option to request a higher service tier or quota. Has anyone had success getting this approved, and what information should I include in the request?

Make the request as specific as possible. Describe your project, identify the models or capabilities you need, estimate your expected usage, and explain how the current quota is preventing development. A concrete use case is more helpful than simply asking for the highest tier.
I was approved by submitting the Azure for Students request form through the portal. I explained that I needed access for a university research project involving large language models, and the request was approved within about two business days. Be clear and honest about the academic use case, and you may not need to do anything beyond completing the form.
