I recently created a basic Azure for Students account through YC, but my current access does not include the larger AI models I need. I see an option to request an upgrade to the highest available tier. What information should I include to improve the chances of approval, and is there a recommended process for submitting the request?

Be as specific as possible. Explain what you’re building, why the current quota or model access is limiting development, which models you need, and how much usage you expect. A concrete project description is more helpful than simply asking for the maximum tier.
Submit the Azure for Students request form through the portal and clearly explain your use case. Mention that it’s for a university research project involving large language models, specify which models you need, and describe your expected usage. A legitimate academic request may be approved within a couple of business days.
