I recently finished my third PC build, and it's by far the nicest system I've owned. I'd appreciate some feedback on the parts and whether there's anything I should consider changing. The build includes an AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, GIGABYTE X870E AORUS ELITE motherboard, GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 4080 Super Windforce V2 graphics card, 64GB of G.Skill Flare X5 DDR5-6000 memory, a be quiet! Pure Power 12 1000W power supply, a 2TB Crucial P3 Plus SSD, and an NZXT H7 Flow case. I'm using an NZXT Kraken Elite RGB 280mm liquid cooler. I mainly use the PC for gaming, with some work-related tasks as well. I bought the parts before memory prices increased, and the total came to about $2,000 including tax.

That’s a very strong overall build, and there isn’t much I’d change. The 7800X3D and RTX 4080 Super are excellent for gaming, the 1000W power supply gives you plenty of headroom, and the 280mm cooler should be more than capable for the CPU.
The main things that stand out as somewhat excessive are the X870E motherboard and 64GB of RAM, especially if this is primarily a gaming system. They’re still perfectly good choices, though, and the motherboard gives you plenty of expansion and connectivity for future upgrades. The graphics card is a previous-generation model, but at around $2,000 for the complete build, it sounds like you got a solid deal.
The only part I might reconsider over time is the SSD. The Crucial P3 Plus is usable, but a higher-end TLC drive with onboard DRAM would generally be a better choice for heavier work and sustained transfers. For gaming and normal desktop use, it should still be fine, so there’s no urgent reason to replace it.
