I haven't built a PC in more than a decade, but I'm ready to get back into it. I'd mainly like to play World of Warcraft, Diablo 4, Star Wars: Zero Company, Baldur's Gate 3, StarCraft II, and Dawn of War III and IV. I currently use a 24-inch 1080p/144Hz monitor and want to know how this system will handle newer features like ray tracing, which weren't really a consideration when I built my last PC. Ideally, I'd like to maintain at least 120 FPS in WoW, though I understand I may need to lower settings in newer, more demanding games. The planned build is: Gigabyte B850M motherboard, Ryzen 7 7800X3D, GeForce RTX 5070 12GB, 32GB DDR5-6000 CL36 memory, and a Corsair 750W PSU. I'm also considering an RTX 5060 Ti 16GB if it makes more sense. How does this build look for my needs?

The build looks solid, although 1080p is leaving a lot of the hardware’s capability unused. A similar system should also perform well at 1440p if you ever decide to upgrade. At 24 inches, though, 1080p can still look perfectly good, especially if you prefer that size and viewing distance.
It may be worth comparing the individual parts with current prebuilt pricing before buying everything separately. A prebuilt system with an RTX 5070 around $1,599 was mentioned as a potentially better-value option, so check the total cost of your parts, assembly, and warranty before committing.
That system would be very strong for 1080p gaming and should handle practically everything you listed at high settings, including ray tracing. It is arguably more performance than you need for 1080p, but it should give you plenty of headroom for high refresh-rate gaming.
The RTX 5070 makes more sense than the 5060 Ti unless the 5060 Ti is substantially cheaper or you specifically need the extra VRAM for productivity workloads. For your gaming list, the 5070’s additional performance is likely more useful than having 16GB on the slower card.
That makes sense. I’ll stick with the 5070 unless the price difference is much larger than expected.
I tried a larger display before, but the 24-inch size feels more comfortable for me, so I’m planning to keep the 1080p monitor.
