My XPPen Artist 12 display tablet got caught in a sudden rain shower while it was completely powered off. Water reached the screen and the area with the buttons. I wiped off the visible moisture and currently have it upside down on a towel, slightly tilted toward the button section so it can drain. There isn't a specialized repair shop nearby, and the laptop repair shop I normally use won't reopen until Monday. I'm planning not to power it on until it has had several days to dry. What are the chances it will still work?

The tablet isn’t waterproof, so there’s no guarantee, but keeping it powered down is the most important thing you can do. Leaving it upside down and slightly tilted should help any remaining water drain. Waiting until at least Tuesday before having it checked is sensible; testing it too soon could turn a recoverable spill into permanent damage.
There’s a reasonable chance it survived, especially since it was turned off when it got wet. Don’t try powering it on or connecting it to anything yet. Let it dry thoroughly for several days, ideally somewhere warm with good airflow—not with high heat. Moisture trapped inside can cause a short, and residue left behind after the water dries can lead to corrosion. If possible, have a repair shop open and inspect it before testing it.
