For a typical same-brand upgrade with existing cables and decent access, five to ten minutes is completely realistic. One recent brand-to-brand swap took around fifteen minutes including driver cleanup, dust removal, and installing the new software.
If you’re replacing one card with another of a similar size and power, the physical swap can take anywhere from two to ten minutes. Most of the time is spent shutting down, unplugging the computer, removing the retaining screw and power cables, releasing the slot latch, and installing the replacement. A well-organized case and an accessible motherboard latch make it especially quick.
