I'm trying to understand what realistic traffic looks like for a hobbyist developer's portfolio. I mean actual human visitors, excluding crawlers and other automated requests. For reference, mine received 27 unique visitors over the past week. How many daily or weekly visitors does your site usually get, and what analytics tool are you using?

Some portfolios get around 300 visitors a week and generate a handful of inquiries, while others only get a few dozen. If your link is mostly on a résumé or developer profile, low traffic is expected—the important visitors are the people evaluating you for an opportunity, not random organic traffic.
The number depends heavily on the analytics setup. Automated traffic can make server or edge-analytics numbers look much higher, while consent-based tools may undercount people who don’t accept tracking. I’d focus less on the headline total and more on whether real visitors reach your project or contact pages, where they came from, and whether the traffic is leading to anything useful.
Mine gets roughly 30–40 unique visitors a day, mostly from referrals and casual browsing rather than a targeted audience. It’s a nice baseline, but traffic varies hugely depending on whether you have popular projects or links pointing to your site.
My portfolio gets about 21 visits and 22 page views per week. My article site does better—around 135 visits and 244 page views in seven days—but those numbers aren’t necessarily unique people. A visit can include someone returning later or browsing several pages.

A lot of small personal sites get surprisingly little traffic. I’m around 26 unique visitors per week, with about 76 total page views. Most of mine comes from linking the site on a project I built, so 27 genuine visitors in a week sounds perfectly normal.
