I know some very basic HTML and an even smaller amount of JavaScript, but I have never properly learned another programming language. What should I learn first, and what path or resources would you recommend for becoming a full-stack developer?

A roadmap site can help you see how the different parts of full-stack development fit together, and video tutorials are useful when you get stuck. Try to build a small project every time you learn a new concept—that practice will teach you much more than simply watching lessons.
W3Schools is a convenient place to learn the basics because the lessons are short and include an interactive editor. Use it to get comfortable with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, but don’t stay there forever. Once you understand the fundamentals, build small projects such as a to-do list and start working in your own development environment instead of only copying examples.
You could also follow a structured full-stack bootcamp course if you prefer having the material organized for you. A guided course can give you a clear progression through front-end topics, back-end programming, databases, and deployment, while your own projects help reinforce everything you learn.
