I installed a Wi-Fi card that may not be compatible with my computer, and now it repeatedly restarts without showing anything on the monitor. The system worked normally before I replaced the old Wi-Fi card, which had stopped working. What should I check to get the computer booting again?

It may not necessarily be the wrong card. Since the computer worked before the replacement, the new card or its installation is still the first thing to eliminate. Remove it, check that no cables or components were disturbed, and then test the system before troubleshooting anything else.
Start by completely removing the new Wi-Fi card and disconnecting the power cable. Leave only the essentials connected—monitor, keyboard, mouse, and power—then try booting again. If it still loops, clear the CMOS to reset the motherboard settings.
I haven’t tried clearing the CMOS yet. Can I do that by removing the coin-shaped CMOS battery?
