Is a 105–107°C GPU hotspot normal on a PNY RTX 5060 Ti 16GB?

My PNY RTX 5060 Ti 16GB dual-fan card is about two and a half months old. During OCCT, the GPU hotspot reaches around 105–107°C. Under full load, the core temperature stays near 80°C while the fans run around 1,500 RPM, and in FurMark the card reached roughly 80–83°C with the fans around 3,000 RPM. In demanding games such as ARK: Survival Ascended, the hotspot-to-core temperature difference is about 29°C; in ARK: Survival Evolved it is around 24°C, while lighter games show a delta closer to 12°C. The card has also lost video signal three times, with the fans suddenly ramping up to approximately 3,500 RPM. Reseating the PCIe power cable seemed to solve it for about a month and a half, but the issue returned recently. Is this temperature behavior normal, or should I pursue a warranty replacement?

105–107°C hotspot is higher than I’d expect, especially with a roughly 25–30°C gap from the core. The bigger concern is the repeated loss of video signal followed by the fans going to maximum speed. Try a different display cable and GPU port, reinstall the graphics driver cleanly with DDU, and make sure the power connector is fully seated. Also check the hotspot and memory junction temperatures in HWiNFO while gaming. If the signal drops again after those checks, I’d stop troubleshooting and use the warranty rather than undervolting it to hide a possible hardware or cooler-mounting problem.

The one-hour FurMark result of about 80–83°C core temperature is already fairly warm, and the hotspot reaching 105–107°C in OCCT suggests the cooler may not be making ideal contact under certain loads. Synthetic tests can run hotter than games, but the temperature delta plus the display failures makes this worth treating as a potential warranty issue. Confirm airflow, verify the power connection, and avoid opening the card or modifying it while it is still under warranty.
