Is a Used RX 9060 XT 8GB a Good Budget Buy for 1080p Gaming?

I ordered a used Sapphire Pulse RX 9060 XT 8GB for about $348 (IDR 6,135,000). The new 16GB model costs roughly $539 (IDR 9,500,000), which is outside my budget. The card appears to have been purchased around June 2026 and supposedly still has warranty coverage until 2028. I plan to inspect it at the reseller and run a stress test before finalizing the purchase. My target is comfortable 1080p gaming at 60 FPS, and I'm willing to reduce texture settings if 8GB of VRAM becomes a limitation. Does this seem like a reasonable deal, and what should I check during the physical inspection and testing?

It’s worth comparing against used higher-end cards too. A second-hand RX 6800 XT may cost around the same, roughly $340–$369, and offer more VRAM and performance. However, it’s an older, more power-hungry card with likely expired warranty, so the newer 9060 XT could be the safer purchase.

Some buyers consider anything below 12GB of VRAM risky for long-term use, particularly at higher settings. For 1080p60, though, 8GB isn’t automatically a deal-breaker today. Check the card for damaged screws, corrosion, bent connectors, excessive dust, and signs of repair. Then verify that all fans work, the display outputs are stable, temperatures stay reasonable during a sustained benchmark, and there are no visual artifacts, crashes, or unusual noises.

For a limited budget and a 1080p60 target, the 8GB version should be workable, especially if you’re comfortable lowering textures in newer games. The price seems reasonable as long as the card is in good condition and the remaining warranty can actually be transferred or claimed.
