I'm not a PC gamer, and someone previously installed GeForce Experience on my computer. I'm not sure what it does or whether anything depends on it. Can I uninstall it safely, and is there any reason to keep it if I mainly use the computer for everyday tasks rather than gaming?

Yes, it’s safe to uninstall. Your graphics card and computer will continue working normally. The main tradeoff is that you’ll need to update the NVIDIA graphics drivers yourself if you ever want newer versions.
There’s no urgent need to remove it either. Older graphics drivers won’t suddenly stop working, and newer updates are mostly useful for improving compatibility with recent games or fixing specific issues. Also, NVIDIA’s newer driver software may install separately depending on the driver package, so uninstalling GeForce Experience doesn’t necessarily eliminate every NVIDIA update tool.
GeForce Experience isn’t required for the GPU to function. It mainly provides driver updates, game optimization, gameplay recording, and a few extra gaming features. If you don’t use those, removing it is fine. Windows may provide driver updates too, although they might not be as recent as NVIDIA’s own downloads.
