Hey everyone! I recently built my first PC and I'm really excited about it. I went with a Ryzen 5 9600X, a Radeon RX 9060 XT with 16GB, and 32GB of DDR5 RAM running at 6000. Overall, I'm happy with my setup and spent around $2,988 AUD, which includes a 1440p 260Hz monitor, keyboard, and mouse. However, I'm a bit worried about my power supply. I got a 650W Gold PSU based on some advice I found online, but I've read that a PSU can wear out or that spikes could cause issues with my hardware. Should I consider upgrading to a higher wattage PSU, like 850W or even 1000W? I've heard that 750W is often the minimum for mid-range PCs. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance!

If you're worried about it, it’s worth spending a little extra on a higher-rated PSU. You should never skimp on power supplies; they’re crucial for system stability. Many people recommend 750W as a minimum for mid-range setups.
It’s good that you asked! While your PSU might technically meet the requirements, it's always better to have some headroom, especially if you plan to upgrade your system later on. Extra wattage can make a difference in keeping everything running smoothly.
You really need to let us know the exact model of the PSU you purchased to give better advice. Different brands and models have varying reliability and performance.

I have the Cooler Master MWE V3 650W Gold.
