Is the NZXT N9 X870E safe to buy after the CPU burnout reports?

I'm considering the NZXT N9 X870E because its features and current price are very appealing. However, I've seen reports that this motherboard may have caused processors to fail. Has the issue been resolved in BIOS version 4.43, or is there still a reason to avoid the board? I'd especially appreciate feedback from long-term owners and anyone familiar with the latest BIOS changes. I'm planning a high-end build and intend to use an X870E board, but I want to be sure the savings are worth the potential risk.

The value can make sense if the board came bundled with another component or is heavily discounted, but that shouldn’t outweigh reliability concerns. If you do buy it, update to the newest stable BIOS before enabling overclocking or aggressive memory settings, use conservative defaults initially, and monitor CPU voltage and temperatures. If the manufacturer has not clearly confirmed a fix, a proven alternative may be the safer choice.

The X870E model is part of the bundle I’m considering, and the NZXT C850 power supply is effectively included at no extra cost. That’s why the motherboard looks unusually attractive compared with other boards.

Before choosing this board, confirm that you actually need the features provided by X870E. A less expensive B850 board may offer everything your build requires. Also, don’t assume BIOS 4.43 completely resolves the processor-damage reports unless NZXT’s release notes or support documentation specifically address the problem. Check the latest BIOS, CPU compatibility list, warranty terms, and any official advisories before buying.
