I'm new to building PCs and was quoted $2,722 USD for this system. Before I buy it, I'd like to know whether the price is reasonable or if I'm being overcharged. The parts are an AMD Ryzen 9 9950X, MSI Pro X870E-P WiFi 7 AM5 motherboard, RTX 5070 12GB, 32GB of DDR5-6000 memory, a 1TB Kingston NV3 M.2 SSD, an 850W Gold modular power supply, a Thermalright 360mm AIO cooler, and an AceGeek Prime case with four fans.

You can find prebuilt systems with the same RTX 5070 for around $1,000 less, depending on the exact brand and included parts. I’d compare several reputable prebuilts and price out the components individually before committing.
That price looks very high for the parts listed. A system with an RTX 5070 should generally cost substantially less, and at this budget you’d expect a stronger graphics card, such as an RTX 5080, or significantly better overall components.
I’d avoid buying this as-is. The Ryzen 9 9950X is powerful, but the build pairs it with a mid-to-upper-range GPU, a basic 1TB SSD, and what may be a lesser-known power supply and case. Look for a better-balanced configuration or check a major local retailer for prebuilt deals.
