This is my first PC build, and I'd really appreciate some honest advice before buying anything. I'm especially unsure about the graphics card and want a system that should last a few years while running games like Elden Ring smoothly. Please point out any poor choices or ways to improve the build.

For roughly the same overall budget, I’d move to a Ryzen 5 7600X on the AM5 platform, use a Thermalright Phantom Spirit air cooler, and get 32GB of DDR5-6000 CL30 memory. A properly available 1TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe drive would also be a better choice than the original SSD. For graphics, an RX 9070 offers a little more performance and 16GB of VRAM compared with an RTX 5070, while usually costing less. I’d pair it with a quality 850W ATX 3.1 power supply, a well-ventilated case, and a couple of extra fans. That would be a strong setup for Elden Ring and should leave you with a good upgrade path.
The biggest issue is that the liquid cooler is far too expensive for this processor. A good air cooler would cost much less and perform just as well. Also, be careful with the listed SSD and RAM prices—those unusually cheap parts are out of stock, so they probably aren’t realistic prices you can actually buy them for.
