I'm building my first PC and would like feedback on this parts list. My target is 1080p gaming, and I'm not planning to play at higher resolutions. Is the build balanced, or are there areas where I could save money and improve gaming performance?

I’d strongly recommend 32GB of RAM instead of 16GB if your budget allows it. Two 16GB sticks will give you more room for modern games and multitasking. The rest of the build looks solid, and the Peerless Assassin is more cooler than the 7600X strictly needs, so that’s another possible place to reduce cost.
The parts are compatible, but I’d try to put more of the budget toward the graphics card. A cheaper CPU such as the Ryzen 5 7500F, a less expensive motherboard, basic non-RGB memory, a simpler cooler, and a cheaper case could free up money. Also, 650W would generally be enough for this type of system, although 750W gives you more upgrade room. The RX 7600 is fine for 1080p, but its value depends heavily on the price.
You could also consider a DDR4 platform, such as a Ryzen 7 5700X with 32GB of DDR4 and a B550 motherboard. Saving on the platform might let you buy a substantially faster graphics card. A high-end card would be excessive for basic 1080p gaming, but it would provide much more performance and longevity if the price difference is reasonable.
It may be worth checking used systems or local listings for a reasonably priced AM4 machine, especially one with a Ryzen 7 5800X3D. You could then add a stronger graphics card later. Just make sure the seller provides the full specifications and that the power supply and other components are from reputable brands.
I hadn’t heard of the Ryzen 5 7500F before, so I’ll definitely compare its price with the 7600X and see whether the savings can go toward a better GPU.
