This would be my first PC build, so I'm trying not to overspend or make things unnecessarily complicated. My main goals are playing modded Minecraft, possibly running The Elder Scrolls Online, and experimenting with developing simple 2D games. I put together a parts list and would like feedback on whether it's capable enough for those uses. I'm also considering buying used RAM and a used graphics card to reduce the total cost.

The build should handle those uses, but it’s fairly weak by current standards. An older system can still run games reliably, though, especially if you’re coming from a much slower computer. I’d consider stepping up from the i3 to an i5 if the price difference is reasonable. A used GTX 1070 or 1070 Ti could also offer much better gaming performance for similar money than the listed graphics card.
One thing to check before buying is operating-system support. That motherboard and processor generation may not be officially compatible with Windows 11, so you might need to use Windows 10, accept an unsupported installation, or choose newer hardware. If you’re planning to use Linux instead, AMD graphics hardware is often the simpler choice for compatibility and drivers.
I made a few adjustments and I’m now leaning toward buying used RAM and a used GPU to bring the total price down.
