I recently got a dual-fan RTX 5070 and keep seeing people mention that it can run hot and loud. Noise is not a major concern, but I want to know whether the temperatures could become dangerous or damage the GPU or other components, especially when my room is in the 20s °C or occasionally warmer. I usually play at 1440p, and my RTX 3060 is often near full load at that resolution. I also do not frequently play extremely demanding games such as Cyberpunk 2077 at 4K with maximum settings. Should I expect a major increase in heat, or should the 5070 be safe with decent case airflow?

A hot room will naturally raise GPU temperatures, but modern graphics cards are designed to protect themselves by reducing clock speeds or shutting down if they reach unsafe limits. Keep the drivers updated, leave the card's thermal protections enabled, and monitor temperatures for the first few gaming sessions. You should be fine with normal airflow, especially since you are not constantly running demanding 4K games.
