KDE Discover Suddenly Won’t Open on Zorin OS

I'm running Zorin OS with KDE Plasma, and KDE Discover recently stopped launching. Clicking its icon does nothing, and trying to start it from a terminal either says the command doesn't exist or prints repeated "unknown" messages. I reinstalled Discover from the terminal, but it still won't open normally. The only time I can access it is when an update notification launches it. What should I check to diagnose and fix this?

Zorin OS isn’t built around KDE Plasma, so Discover may not be fully supported or all of its KDE dependencies may not be installed correctly. First, try launching the actual executable with `plasma-discover` rather than `discover`, then check the terminal output for the first real error instead of the repeated “unknown” lines. You can also reinstall the package and its dependencies with your system’s package manager. Since it worked previously, this could be a broken update or configuration rather than an inherent incompatibility, but using a distribution that officially ships KDE Plasma—such as Kubuntu or Fedora KDE—will generally be more reliable.

It did work before, so the recent change is probably important. I’d check for a partial package update, missing KDE dependencies, or a corrupted Discover configuration before assuming the desktop environment is the cause.
