I have a 2020 MacBook Pro that connects to Wi‑Fi but cannot access the internet. I've restarted the Mac and router, updated and reinstalled the software, changed the DNS settings, and confirmed that no proxies are enabled. I've tried nearly every fix I could find and would rather not erase the Mac unless absolutely necessary. What troubleshooting steps should I try next?

First isolate whether the problem is the Mac or the network. Check whether other devices can browse through the same router, and see whether the Mac works on a different Wi‑Fi network. If possible, test it with an Ethernet adapter connected directly to the router. You can also try resetting the Mac’s network settings; the results of those tests should show whether the issue is with the computer or the Wi‑Fi connection.
Try removing and recreating the Wi‑Fi network service. Open Network settings, select Wi‑Fi, remove the existing service, then use the menu to add a new Wi‑Fi service and reconnect to your network. This can clear out a corrupted network configuration.

I’ll give that a try when I get home. This issue has been incredibly frustrating!
