My BOSGAME P4 Mini PC was splashed with water after my cat knocked something over. It still powers on, but there is no display and the keyboard and mouse receive no power through the USB ports. It came prebuilt, and I was under the impression that the case could not be opened. I need a working computer by 11 a.m. on August 22, but I currently cannot afford a repair shop. Is there anything safe I can try, or is professional repair or replacement the only realistic option?

Stop powering it on immediately and unplug everything. Water can create shorts, and repeatedly turning the Mini PC on can cause permanent damage. If you can safely remove the case, blot up any visible moisture and clean affected areas with high-percentage isopropyl alcohol. Let the machine dry completely—preferably for at least 24–48 hours in a warm, ventilated place—before testing it again. Avoid using a hair dryer or other intense heat.
Because you need a working computer soon, have a backup plan such as borrowing one or using another device. With no USB power and no video after liquid exposure, there is no reliable quick fix, and buying another inexpensive computer may cost less than replacing a damaged motherboard.
The case may be difficult to open, but it is probably held together with small screws rather than being truly sealed. A precision screwdriver may be needed. Cleaning and drying could resolve a simple short or residue problem, but if the motherboard or power circuitry was damaged, it may require board-level repair or microsoldering. A repair shop should diagnose it before you spend money on replacement parts.
I can’t afford a repair shop right now, so I’ll focus on unplugging it and letting it dry before trying anything else.
