I installed a new ASUS Prime 9070 XT, and now my PC won't start properly. The motherboard, CPU, and other components light up and their fans spin, but the graphics card shows no lights or fan activity. The GPU fans briefly spin when I switch the power supply off. The system has a Ryzen 5 7500F and a 750W Gold-rated PSU. What should I check first, and could the power supply or graphics card be the problem?

If you still have the previous graphics card, reinstall it and see whether the system starts normally. That’s a useful way to separate a GPU or cabling problem from another hardware issue. The Ryzen 5 7500F has no integrated graphics, so removing the dedicated GPU by itself won’t provide a display signal; you would need another known-working graphics card for that test.
Start by checking the GPU power connections. This card uses three 8-pin PCIe connectors, so make sure all three are fully seated and that the PSU-side plugs are secure if the power supply is modular. Reseat the graphics card in the PCIe slot as well. A good-quality 750W unit should generally be enough for a 7500F and this GPU, but the exact PSU model matters.
Inspect the PCIe power plugs and the graphics card’s connectors for damaged, loose, or missing pins. Also look inside the motherboard’s PCIe slot for debris or anything that could prevent proper contact. With the PC powered off and unplugged, reseat the card carefully and make sure it is fully latched into the slot.
