PC Still Blue-Screens During Games Even After Lowering RAM Speed

My system has a Ryzen 5 5600X, GeForce RTX 3060, and 16GB of TOUGHRAM RGB DDR4-3600 memory in a 2x8GB configuration. I previously reduced the memory speed to 3200MHz and set XMP/DOCP to Auto, which seemed to stop the crashes for a while. I also increased the Windows page file. However, the PC blue-screened three times today while I was playing Dead by Daylight. I suspect the RAM is still unstable. I cannot afford upgrades right now, so I am looking for free or temporary steps to make the system stable and determine whether the memory is actually faulty.

Run a proper memory test such as MemTest86 from a bootable USB drive, ideally for several complete passes. Test the sticks individually as well if errors appear, since that can identify a bad module or slot. If the test finds errors, try running both sticks at their default JEDEC speed, such as 2133 or 2400MHz, with XMP/DOCP disabled. That is a reasonable temporary workaround and does not require buying anything.

The system may not have been fully stable before. A Ryzen 5 5600X officially supports memory up to 3200MHz, so running a 3600MHz kit is technically an overclock of the memory controller. Make sure the two sticks are installed in the motherboard's recommended dual-channel slots, usually A2 and B2, which are commonly the second and fourth slots from the CPU. In the BIOS, you can keep the frequency at 3200MHz but enable the memory's XMP/DOCP profile so it uses the manufacturer's rated voltage, often 1.35V. Setting the speed to 3200MHz while leaving the profile completely disabled may cause the board to use the lower default 1.2V setting.
