Router Repeatedly Reboots While the Modem Stays Connected

I have an Arris SB8200 modem and a two-pack of routers that have been running for about two years. Over the past month or two, the router in my living room has started rebooting several times a day. Its light blinks white during the outage, and the restart can take anywhere from 10 minutes to two hours. The modem itself remains online, so the problem seems limited to the router. A PC, Xbox Series X, and two smart TVs are connected to the network. I have already power-cycled both devices, waited before reconnecting them, used the proper startup order, swapped the routers, checked traffic-prioritization settings, and kept the original cables. Is there another troubleshooting step, setting, firmware update, or hardware check I should try, or is the router probably failing and due for replacement?

Since the modem stays connected and swapping the routers didn’t resolve it, this points more toward the router system or its power supply than the ISP connection. Check the router’s event or system log for crash, thermal, or firmware errors, install the latest firmware, and try a factory reset followed by a clean setup. Also test it with only one wired device connected and make sure the power adapter is firmly seated and not overheating. If it still reboots after that, the hardware is probably failing and replacement is the practical fix.
