I'm considering purchasing the 5070, which is currently priced around 620 euros. I don't keep up with tech news too much, so I'm curious if there's a possibility for the prices to drop soon. Is this price reasonable, or should I hold off on buying, especially since the 9070 is priced over 700 euros?

It's not like you're buying stocks, it's just a GPU. Prices change all the time, so keep that in mind!
If you're in the market for a new GPU, I'd suggest buying it now and not worrying about price fluctuations for a while. The ongoing AI boom is affecting memory prices, so I doubt we'll see any significant drops soon.
Everything feels really unstable right now. Waiting might be a gamble. If you can comfortably afford it and really want/need it, just grab it instead of risking a future price drop.
Honestly, I don’t think the price is going to drop anytime soon. You can either wait it out if you're able, which is smart especially if you don't urgently need it. Or just go ahead and buy now. I got mine for $754, and I remember it being cheaper last year, too. Still feels pricey though!
Need it? Buy it. Want it? Maybe wait a bit.
