I currently use an iPhone 13 and am deciding between an iPhone 15 for €528 and an iPhone 17 for €849. My priorities are strong battery life, smooth everyday performance, and keeping the phone for several years so I don't need to upgrade again soon. Is the iPhone 17 worth paying the extra €321, or would the iPhone 15 offer better value?

Another option is the iPhone 17e. It sits between the older and newer models in price and may be enough if you want a recent phone without spending as much as €849.
It may be worth checking the iPhone 16 as a middle-ground option. If you can find one priced between the 15 and 17, it could give you newer hardware without paying the full premium for the latest model.
You could also compare current Android phones before buying. Some offer excellent battery life and long software support for less money, although staying with an iPhone may be preferable if you already rely on Apple’s ecosystem.
